These layouts denote the type and extent of varying surface finishes, e.g. Blacktop, Gravel, Block paving, Porus paving, paving slabs/flags, etc complete with ‘linetypes’ to distinguish edgings, kerbs, setts, etc.

A comprehensive legend would refer all ‘hatch patterns’ & ‘linetypes’ to the construction details, prepared on a set of accompanying drawings.

All details would meet with the requirements of the Ground Investigation report, subbase & capping thickness, the Planning Dept./Authority, Sales Depts (if applicable) and in accordance with the client brief.

Provisions for soft landscaping can be detailed by one of our Landscape Architect consultants.
